May 28, 2024We had the honor of meeting Gunnery Sergeant Jose Antonio Dinagomez. He received his set of golf clubs and will start his golf lessons as soon as our instructors can match his work schedule. Jose is our second recipient from the Dominican Republic. He was born in 1991. He arrived in the United States in October 2007 and enlisted in the Marine Corps in June 2009.
Jose graduated from recruit training in September 2010 and his duty stations included Marine Corps Base Okinawa, Japan; Marine Transport Squadron Andrews AFB, MD; Recruiting Station Jacksonville, Florida; Marine Corps Special Operations Command, North Carolina; and Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
Jose was deployed to Qatar from 2014 to 2015 in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve. Four years later, he deployed to Iraq from 2019 to 2020 with Special Operations Joint Task Force. During his time in the Marine Corps, his duties took him to many countries, including Japan, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Greece, England, Germany, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
Jose has an eleven-year-old son named Elijah, and he is married to his equally brave Marine Corps Veteran wife, Renee. We salute him for his love of country and faithful service to our nation.
