October 17, 2024We enjoyed meeting Vanessa Guzman, Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army Retired, at PGA TOUR at PGA Academy World Golf Village. She received her new golf clubs and first lesson from Rhonda Ferguson, Senior Certified Instructor.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Vanessa Guzman is a proud U.S. Army veteran who honorably served for twenty-three years. During her military career, she held the rank of Staff Sergeant and was deployed to Southwest Asia.
Throughout her career, Vanessa served in multiple roles, including logistics, administration, and recruiting, where she made significant contributions in recruiting ROTC cadets into the Army Reserve’s Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP).
Since transitioning from military service, she has continued to serve the nation by working for the federal government. Vanessa obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in criminal investigations and a Juris Doctor degree.
In her personal life, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and discovering different cuisines with her wife, Julia, and their dogs, Coco and Roxy.
