We Reached the 185 Milestone!
November 28, 2024Better late than never, we say. It only took us a year to reconnect, but we finally made it happen last Friday. Fred and Brenda Skinner, both U.S. Army Veterans, received their new golf clubs at Cimarrone Golf Club and will start lessons soon.
THE PLAYERS Connection
We met Fred and Brenda at the Volunteer Leadership Party of THE PLAYERS Championship last November 2023, where our foundation was the guest of honor. Fred, a fifteen-year championship volunteer, presented our foundation with the $7,000 worth of golf equipment we received that night.
They initially met in Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, IN, and dated briefly before Fred was stationed in South Korea and Brenda at Fort Hood, Texas. They reconnected nine years later, rekindled their friendship, and eventually married.
These lovebirds enjoy sports and are determined to become active golfers. In fact, Brenda told us that in her mind, she thinks she will be a great golfer. Golf professionals call that visualization!
They own Skinner Property Inspection, providing residential and commercial inspections in Georgia and soon Florida.

We salute Fred and Brenda for their service to our nation. We are grateful to have met this incredible couple who embody the Will of Iron and can't wait to hear about their progress, especially Brenda's. Where there is a will, there is a way.
