September 16, 2025We had the pleasure of meeting Ronald Penn, Sgt. First Class, U.S. Army Retired. He received his new golf clubs and first lesson from instructor Chris Yeager at Deercreek Golf Club.
“Black Hawk Down”
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Ronald joined the U.S. Army in 1981 as a 92-Alpha.
During his twenty-five years of service, he completed one tour in Korea, two tours in Germany, and two deployments to Iraq, as well as serving in Somalia during the events known as “Black Hawk Down.”
After retiring, he returned to his hometown, where he currently resides.
